System for Series Production.

The automated manufacturing line for large steel door frames is one of its kind and were developed and built by Trendelkamp. The line is able to manufacture steel door frames consisting of 13 different welding parts every 16 seconds. The PLC control system enables the line to operate autonomously.

The manufacturing line consists of conveyer belts and robotic task stations that enable precise feeding and positioning. The handover and transition points are pneumatically and electromagnetically driven and are controlled by limit switches and light beam detectors in combination with hard stops and bumper zones. A special feature of this manufacturing line is the integrated welding station that consist of copper electrodes for the welding task.
