The development of the Trendelkamp Classifiers is a result of customer requirements. These units are almost maintenance free and ensure a reliable operation for classifying different grain sizes.
Depending on the requirements a separation in two or three stages is possible. Oversized and undersized (fines) grains can be separated from the desired grain size.

How a TK-K Classifier works



The fed material is guided through a “calming” zone to the screens, where the grain sizes are separated. The separated material is conveyed to the following equipment through discharge slides.

The linear oscillation is generated by an eccentric drive with adjustable revolution, equipped with a frequency converter. The linear oscillation causes the material to “slide” over the screen surface and thus prevents for example oversized grains from “skipping”.

The residence time of the material and the degree of separation are determined by a variable speed setting to accommodate the requirements of the application.

Principle of design - changing screens - cleaning

TK-K SiebbodenThe screen trough with the integrated screen frames is hanging on flat springs connected to the welded steel frame. The screen frames are configured on different levels. The ease and fast exchange of the screen frames is realised by tension jacks keeping them in place. Perforated sheet metal (screens) usually cover the screen frames. The perforation of the screens depends on the application requirements and is to be determined individually for each application.

The inside of the trough is entirely accessible when the screens are removed. This allows a fast and easy cleaning of the entire trough for example if a product change is intended. Such work is made more convenient through further simplifications in the design, where fast clamping devices are used.
