Film/Flake silos

For storage of materials with poor flowing characteristics
The Eight which solves problems

The patented special silo with the unusual shape is designed for storage and controlled discharge of materials with poor flowing characteristics. This design has proven its worth for many years.

The simple and almost maintenance-free design ensures a reliable operation and product quality. Different equipment and customised design according to the application requirements secure an optimised operation.

These special silos are used for products with poor flowing characteristics and low density (30 – 250 g/cubic decimetres), where a discharge with common silos is not possible.

How a TK-F Silo works

The stirring tools, which are mounted near the base, loosen the material and prevent a compression of the material.

The stirring tools operate like rakes, sweeping more than 90% of the base surface area and transporting the material into the area of the discharge worm.

Due to the special design of the silo there are two connected storage rooms with a gap in each container wall.

Bridging of the stored material, which may occur in the silo, is broken due to this characteristic of the design.

Principle of design

Trendelkamp Film/Flake Silos consist of two or more circular container units, with partially cut out walls. Each container is equipped with stirring tools.

A closed system is realised by connecting the single containers with vertical straight walls. The discharge device is fitted into the bottom in the area of the connection walls.

The robust and maintenance friendly design takes the requirements of industrial applications as well as the aspects of easy access for cleaning purposes into consideration.

The standard drive unit consists of gear motors, which are connected to the worms by flexible couplings.
