Screen Changers

TASK Diverter Valve and Screen Changer

For continuous operation, with integrated start-up function

A further development of the double piston systems which have proven their worth for years, which minimise thermal as well as mechanical stress on the product.

The patented combination of a Diverter Valve and Screen Changer makes it possible to divert the melt to the outside during starting up and stopping the extrusion line.

How a Diverter Valve and Screen Changer works during start-up

On start-up of the extrusion line, the entering melt is guided to the start-up opening in the lower bolt.

The upper bolt blocks the second melt channel and prevents the melt from reaching the downstream equipment.

For starting the production process, the bolts are moved hydraulically in such a position that first the upper melt channel is opened and the diverter opening is blocked. Shortly after the upper bolt is in production position the second bolt also moves into production position. The entire melt is now guided to the downstream equipment.

After the start-up and during regular production a TASK unit is used like a continuous operating TSK screen changer.

TASK Diverter Valves and Screen Changer units permit a compact design of the extrusion plant, as no additional diverter valve is required for an easy start-up.
