Helicopter-landing platform
Clemens-Hospital Münster

Trendelkamp was instructed to plan, design, and construct, a helicopter-landing platform on the rooftop of the Clemens-Hospital in the City of Münster, Germany.
On the rooftop of the 40-year-old building, a special girder construction was installed as a shock absorber. The original platform with a diameter of approximately 31 m (102 feet) was set on vertical girders. There is no railing on the platform; it has a 3 m (10 feet) wide walkway and an additional safety net.

During landing, the platform has a load capacity of more than 5 tons. For the safety of the helicopter and the crew, a special roll bar was installed around the landing area.
This 24/7 landing platform, guarantees patient transportation in all weather conditions, and ensures a quick and safe response in an emergency.
More than 150 tons of steel was used for the installation.
