An excerpt from the company history

1897
Bernhard Trendelkamp takes over the Goldschmidt forge.

The oldest records of the forge goes back until the year 1827.

1936
Master blacksmith Josef Trendelkamp (t.f.r.) takes over the company.

Blacksmithing and repair work for agriculture are the main focus of activity.

1972
Agricultural machinery & mechanical engineering master Josef Trendelkamp, Sr. takes over the company.

The company´s focus is on steel hall construction as well as contract work in the welding sector. The organization is expanded in the coming years to include a design department.

1988
The Kadesia´s sword memorial is the first major international project with high welding and organizational requirements.

1988
The Extrusion Technology division is founded. The target is the development, manufacturing and sale of machines in the extrusion process.

1992
Dismantling of the Georg von Neumayer Station in Antarctica and construction of the special sleds for the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar- and Marine Research.

1993
Trendelkamp produces the Federal Eagle and invents the Chairtracks for the former Bundestag in Bonn.

1995
Founding of Trendelkamp L.P. in Atlanta, GA – United States.

1998
Production of the Federal Eagle for the plenary hall of the German Bundestag in Berlin.

2014
For the flying observatory SOFIA, a new type of mounting system is being developed to technically improve the infrared telescope.

2020
Aerospace engineer Josef Trendelkamp, Jr. takes over the company.

The company focus is on sustainable product developments and future technologies.

2022
Start of construction of the new company location in KFW 40 standard.
